This is a 2007-generation IMOCA designed for Alex Thomson, who chose a slightly more powerful hull shape than our three other 2007 boats. He also requested the eye-catching double coachroof configuration, so that he could go to the front safely in the center of the boat, an a classical 3-spreaders mast. The structural design, done in collaboration with Paolo Manganelli of Gurit, also differs from our other boats in that it is mostly longitudinal and the hull bottom is in foam sandwich. Up to this day, it still carries its original carbon fiber keel fin, with no sign of damage due to its age. On board this boat, Alex Thomason finished second of the Barcelona World Race 2007, during which he beat the record of the elapsed distance over 24 hours in a 60 feet monohull, raising it to 501,3 nautical miles, breaking the 500 miles barrier for the first time ever. Stéphane Le Diraison owns this boat since 2016, currently under the name "Time For Oceans". He refitted the boat in 2018, in collaboration with finot-conq, saving a lot of weight, and stepping a new mast.
