FC   56'

3

Comfort, Speed and Elegance in a high tech 56' family cruiser : this is our new FC56.

This one-off yacht, developped for an experienced owner under the supervision of David de Prémorel, draws its inspiration in Open-class racing boats. It might be the first of a small production run, as was the case for the FC53, of which it is the natural evolution.

Styling is a key point inside as well as outside, with harmonious lines, materials and colors. No stone has been left unturned in the design of this dream boat, whch has been launched in the summer of 2021.

The FC56 is entierly built in carbon fiber, including the rig and the deep lifting keel fin, which supports a lead bulb. It is a very modern boat, both in its hull shapes, which have been studied in CFD, and in the design of the deck, with its big inverted bow, and its reversed sheerline with large cutouts.

The significant investment in engineering, materials, high-end fabrication, keel and high stability hull form allow this boat to keep the length/sail area/displacement ratios of a pure performance yacht, without any compromise on comfort. This is the finot-conq "touch", as invented by Jean-Marie Finot and Pascal Conq.

The front part of the cockpit is comfortable and well-protected by a painstakingly designed bimini and sprayhood, and it is separate from the manoeuvres, which are regrouped in the aft part. The longitudinal garage opens to the transom and makes the tender's lauch a breeze. The liferaft door doubles as a bathing platform.

The high modulus carbon mast has no backstay or runners, to make the square-top mainsail very easy to use. The sail plan, studied by Erwan Gourdon, is very balanced, and all lines are led aft below the deck. With the optionnal hydraulic furlers and electric winches, the FC56 is designed for single- or short-handed sailing. The bowsprit is supported by a removable bobstay for secure mooring, and the low gooseneck ensures easy furling of the mainsail.

Designed in-house by Pierre Forgia, spaces inside the boat are vast and luminous, with very high-level finishes and equipment.

The ultra-light interiors feature a beautiful master cabin in the front with its separate bathroom, two large aft guest cabins, and a crew cabin on port, opposite the guest bathroom with separate shower. Large water and diesel tanks provide long range along with peace of mind.
